‘my ID with select poetry’ explores Triven’s pleasure seeking, need-based personality. Its main objective is to satisfy our needs and desires--any and everything that we want.
The challenge often comes when we desire things that we, either, cannot obtain or that we are too ashamed to go after. This is when the battle between the ID and ourselves begins. Unfortunately, everything that we desire does not coincide with our morals. So, instead of dealing with this issue, we often hide it.
That is what Triven learns first hand...
